This is one of those detailing "tools" that I never thought to use until very recently, on my latest resin works. I'm now completely hooked on using these to add some metallic highlights on my builds! These are perfect for visors and weapons sensors specifically.
To make sure that you got the size right when applying the tape, you can go over the area that you want to cover with masking tape first, then trace over it.
Afterwards, cut the masking tape to size, and place it on top of the metal tape.
Use a sharp modelling knife to then make an incision on the metal tape, and you're set! Apply to the area you want with tweezers!
